We had been in the yard in Barcelona for 3 weeks getting some work done on the boat. Every weekend the swell was flat in Hossegor so on one of the weekends we decided to get out of the city madness and head for the hills. It was a 5 hour drive from Barcelona ascending up into the Pyrenees mountains, a range that forms a natural boarder between France and Spain. Keith did his homework and found a national park called Aiguestortes. We got there pretty unprepared but managed to find a store where we got some red wine, a few baguettes and a roll of salami...... Sorted!
Knife, Guitar, and a shangeye that I acquired of a little gypsy lady in Espot.....ready for the mish!

We managed to get the last few beds in this little mountain refuge, a couple of hours walk into the reserve.
We had a full sit down dinner with all the Refuge guests. Alphabet soup, chicken, salad, bread and wine.....stoked!
We bought the boats wet weather gear. Super good option. The old euro tramper fogies weren't to happy on us being to loud so we donned the jackets and went out into the cold for some beverages and some fine muscial goodness thanks to Jamie.
Keith bought his rod. We ditched the track and walked for 4 or so hours, stumbling on this beautiful little lake. No one for miles, keith was into it pretty fast.
